![]() The website and cookies:European directive 2009/136/EC, as enacted in the UK via The Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) (Amendment) Regulations 2011, requires web sites which use cookies to gain informed consent from anyone who might use the site as to whether they wish to have cookies stored by that web site on their computer, or mobile computing device. This law comes into effect on 26th May 2012.The Ten Tors web site (this site) creates one cookie (called 'TTcookie') when you enter the site, and stores one piece of information in that cookie - the year of the event that you're looking at - 2012, for example.
