How to Register

In order to register for the CCWI 2011 conference as well as book other conference activities or events (such as site visits, workshops and guest dinner tickets) you have to use the official CCWI online store of the University of Exeter. The CCWI online store uses this terminology:

  • Customer is the user making the booking;
  • Package represents the conference registration for one person;
  • Events represent a site visit or a workshop participation for one person;
  • Delegate is the person registering to the conference or participating in an event.

This 'how-to' guide is composed of a:


 

The short step by step guide: to register or to book one or more packages for a different person, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the CCWI online store and start the booking. If it is your first visit to the store:
    • Create a new customer;
    • Add your details such as name, surname and address.
  2. Login to the store if not already logged in;
  3. Chose a single registration option;
  4. Add the details of the delegate registering into the conference (to save time it is possible to use the customer details button);
  5. Chose one or more events such a site visit, a workshop and guest tickets for the gala dinner/bbq.
  6. Complete a questionnaire;
  7. Look at a summary of the booking and carry out one of the following steps:
    • View the complete information of the booking;
    • Add a new registration for a new delegate, i.e. book another registration (with events) for another person from the step number 3;
    • Add the booking chosen into the basket, i.e. move on step 8.
  8. Look at the basket with the chosen booking and carry out one of the following steps:
    • Continue to the checkout, i.e move on step 8
    • If you made a mistake clear the basket and then start again from the step 1;
  9. Select a delivery and billing address;
  10. Insert your Credit/Debit card details and pay the order.

Please note that the booking process does not contain any "Cancel" or "Back" buttons from step 3 to step 6 and from step 8 to step 9. To cancel or restart the process you need to the return to the main CCWI online store page or clear the basket.

Please note that it is NOT possible to buy extra event or change an event on-line for a registered delegate after completing the booking. It is still possible to buy additional events on the conference day and pay by cash.

Once you enter the CCWI online store, you should see the following main page:

Click on the "Book Event" icon on the right side of the page to start the registration process. The next step is to login into the system. If this is your first visit to the University of Exeter online store you need to register as a new costumer using the link provided on the top of the page.

After logging into the store, you should see the "Package Option" page that contains the available "packages":

In the CCWI online store, a "package" represents  the conference registration for one person (called a delegate). In the "Packages Option"  web page it is possible to chose only one registration per person at a time (it will be possible to book another registration for a different person later).  Click on the "Continue" button at the end of the page to continue onto the next step and to open the "Delegate" page.

Please note that the booking process does not contain a "Cancel" or "Back" button. Thus to cancel or restart the process you need to the return to the main CCWI online store page.

On this page you have to insert the details of the person (delegate) who is going to register into the conference and to participate into the events. If the logged in user is the delegate, i.e. the person who is registering; then it is possible to easily fill the details in using the top right grey button "Use my Customer Details".

Click on the "Continue" button at the end of the page to proceed to the next step.

Store events

in the "Programme" page you can choose different events that the delegate can participate. Thus, it is possible to chose one (or none) of the site visits available, one (or none) of the three possible workshops and request extra guest tickets for the gala dinner and the BBQ.

Click on the "Continue" button at the end of the page to proceed to the next step.

In the questionnaire page you will be asked if you want to attend the barbeque and the gala dinner (included in the registration price), if you have any special dietary requirements, and, if relevant, your university/student number or professional body/members number.

You may be asked to show proof of the professional body membership status or student status at the conference if you choose the reduced membership fee.

Click on the "Continue" button at the end of the page to continue into the next step and to open the "Summary" page.

On this page you can see a summary of the booking with a list of delegates (attendees) that have been added into the booking. In order to see a complete list of package/delegate bookings made click on the "View Complete Booking" button. If you need to edit a package/delegate booking you can use the respective "Edit" button.

In order to add a new registration (with events) for any other persons press the "Add Delegate" button (highlighted by the red circle).

Click on the "Continue" button at the end of the page to continue onto the next step and  open the "Shopping Basket" page.

On this page you will be presented with the total amount to pay. You can clear your whole booking at this point using the "Clear Basket" button in the top right corner. The "Continue Shopping" button will let you book other items from the University of Exeter online store but not from the CCWI online store. Click on "Proceed to Checkout" to continue the next step and start the payment process.

Store delivery screen

In the "Delivery & Payment" screen you have to select the delivery address and the billing address using the "Select" button. This is necessary although there are no items to be delivered. By default these addresses will be the same as the customer address added during the registration step. You can edit these addresses using the "Edit" button. The payment method cannot be chosen and it must be a valid credit/debit card.

After selecting the billing address, a new section will open in the lower part of the page.

In this new section you have to insert the details of the credit/debit card. In the bottom part of the page in the green box there is a reminder of the amount that will be charged to your credit/debit card. By clicking on the "Continue" button the payment will proceed and the money will be taken from your account.

Please note that it is NOT possible to buy extra event or change an event on-line for a registered delegate after completing the booking.
